Intro to Needle Felting – Spring

Celebrate the new year by learning a new craft! Needle Felting! Julie Kay will be teaching the beginning techniques of how to wet felt and dry felt with wool roving. Choose from one of two creations; a bird in her nest with 3 eggs, or a flying mouse in a bumble bee costume. The mouse includes armature (allowing for the movement of the head, arms & legs) which is intermediate skill level. This class hold a broad spectrum of wool felting techniques which affords a great introduction for any novice!

 

We will be making: 1 Bird in Nest OR 1 Bumble Bee Mouse

ONLY AGES 12 AND UP PLEASE. FELTING NEEDLES ARE TOO DANGEROUS FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN.

You Will Need: 
– A Teacup/Small Bowl or other small rounded container to fashion the bird’s nest… if you choose to make that project.

Class fee includes supplies: Wool roving, Felting needles, Felting pad, Glue, – scissors –& wire

– All supplies are provided EXCEPT the cup/bowl listed above.
